A Philosophy of Cultural Management, or The Perfect Tool for Doing a Good Job

Abstract

This document makes a first philosophical approach to the theory and practice of cultural management that from our perspective, is practiced in the Master’s degree in Cultural Management and Development of the University Center of Art, Architecture and Design (CUAAD in Spanish) of the University of Guadalajara. Through diverse bibliographic and digital sour-ces, what is considered to be the philosophy and attitude of the members of the aforementioned master degree - recognized by CONACYT - is exposed. This paper is a small sketch of what may eventually become a major treaty on the cultural management philosophy that has been taught in that Master’s program.
