Over recent decades, public policies have gained significant relevance at international, national, and local levels as tools for addressing various social and environmental issues. In this context, the relationship between culture, environment, and development is essential for the construction of governmental agendas and strategies aimed at creating a healthier and more inclusive environment. However, the development and implementation of these actions face important challenges due to the complexity of power relations, legal and administrative frameworks, and the diversity of actors involved. Therefore, this study examines governmental actions designed to address the challenges arising from the interconnection between development, culture, and the environment, while also reflecting on the role of the different agents participating in this field of research and public action.
