Abstract

This article emerges as a personal reflective exercise focused on the artistic practice of illustration and how professional identity is constructed through conscious experience, influenced by cumulative memories that trace back to childhood. These experiences are shaped by the visual consumption of animated films, access to specific types of information within the family nucleus, and later by encounters within the sociocultural environment, specifically in Guadalajara, Mexico, during the period between 2000 and 2013. The text presents an autobiographical inquiry that aims to recover specific memories to reconstruct collective experiences within local creative scenes. Drawing from the phenomenology of perception, the article proposes an approach to the crónica (chronicle) as a method to traverse individual phenomena and, simultaneously, reflect on them through an empathetic dimension, as studied by philosopher Edith Stein. In this way, memories are understood as objects that, rooted in the individual, can be examined in their essence and contribute to a broader understanding of shared perception.
